This photographic mural depicts the awakening and rise of an aggressive arrogant sentience. It came into being on a tiny fully alive life producing "God" Planet. It was an organic presence that evolved quite well materially on the little world, however it was also one that nurtured a profound misguided spiritual ignorance. A fatal flaw that eventually turned into a living holocaust of destruction for the planet's life supporting "Godsphere". The sentience fails to mature in the planetary required ethereal symbiotic sense, it remains ignorant and stagnant becoming a commercially minded industrially driven civilization and thus is child like naïve and destructive. It devolves into an ecological terrorist threat to all life on the planet, including ironically itself.

The civilization progresses onto an industrialized but spiritually infantile collective, one that rises up using symbiotically damaging means, forcing a negative reality to manifest on their life supporting "God". This fatalistic reality eventually affects distorts and haunts all of planetary existence. "God" has disturbing nightmarish dreams that haunt planetary existence and come from a threatening organic sentient life force, eventually it turns into a fully blown living "Godsphere" nightmare. These beings "God" had intended, were supposedly evolved organic entities of an assumed intelligent cosmic awareness. However sadly they simply failed to unfold in the proper planet friendly synergistic manner. Despite not demonstrating any appropriate forms of "God" nurturing and respect, it nevertheless is an organic presence that grows in strength and numbers by industrially and commercially organizing itself most proficiently. It carelessly ritualizes itself through the adoption of false and mistaken beliefs of faith. Eventually this rogue planetary civilization quickly forms into a rapidly spreading highly virulent danger to the primary core of planetary existence.

In a short period of time, this almost "virus" like planetary life force, eventually burgeons and progresses onto the destructive somnambulistic night sweats, of a greed driven around the clock reckless and childish sentience. As an organic force of profound ecological blindness these insane organic creatures, ironically believe they have been divinely enlivened and are literally externally godly inspired. Their "God" is insanely viewed as a supreme off world being, which is simply the product of their rampant intellectual madness. They move about the planetary realm wielding destructive industrial sized "clubs," truly believing they have been instilled with the "god" given right to manifest their own beneficial planetary destiny, much to the detriment of everything else on their planet. In their minds this "godlike" sanctioned right extends to the granted and almighty forgiven rape pillage and plunder of the planet's natural flora and fauna.

Including the wanton murdering of every living thing on the planet that's found in their paths, the progress and spread of their intellectual virulence is backed and promoted by an overbearing religious impetus. Their spiritual leaders lead the charge and are there directly in the thick of things, as the negative wave of the supreme off world "god" lie spreads across the planet. They have an insane propensity to bless everything in the name of this off world "god", and go about converting anything else into believing in their human imagined deity. At least those conquered native populations and innocents that manage to survive the initial blood soaked onslaught of the "godly" driven crusade to conquer and plunder all.

The planet it appeared quite clearly, was simply theirs for the taking, to virtually do with as they wished. Or so it was believed their intellectually imagined supreme being had firmly decreed was their duty and of course their right. The violent ongoing aggression they had towards virtually everything else on the unguarded symbiotically driven "God" planet, was always interpreted and perpetrated in the hallowed name of their imaginary divine off world creator.

These planetary beings mercilessly bashed their way throughout the little world and continually terrorized and industrially polluted everything on their living and fully alive mother planet, which was in truth the actual "God" they sought, the one of primary creation. As a result they fatally destroyed the flora and fauna symbiotic organic reality that the "Godsphere" their planet had manifested delicately and naturally. A "God" which had in truth given all of them life, and was in reality the only "God" world out of billions in the wide cosmos that was actually fertile and alive.

In utter madness these beings spend trillions of collective societal wealth on amassing and perfecting military armaments, stocking the industrial military complex with highly expensive killing machines. War equipment that was solely devoted to destroying any opposing points of views on how one might live organic planetary life. They partake in an incredibly expensive race into their immediate solar system space, while billions of their kind still suffer from hunger abject poverty and little hope. They continually destroy each other in pointless inhumane wars which does damaging and irreparable harm to their collective physic. Much of the warfare is done for either societal gain, land acquisition and control, or for the most part the projected reaping of future commercial profits. These wars are always disguised as bringing the helping hand of better government to the world's unfortunate differing points of view countries.

Because the planet's natural "Godsphere" does not function nor remotely conformed to their own highly contrived off world belief system, it falls victim to the organic insanity of it's own children's tainted sentience. In the end as a result of a merciless commercial greed for more of everything which their morally and spiritually bankrupt childish societies covet. They begin savagely brutally collectively industrially gang raping and defiling the undefended pristine organic reality that's God, just to extort the last vestige of material wealth from it.

Their commodity driven societies are kept purposely immature and childlike, this is accomplished through the stick and carrot of continual none stop entertainment, using the intellectual soothe of mindless numerous commercially backed sporting events. There evolves twenty four hour entertainment for the "unwashed" masses, of mindless several hundred channel commercial television, and the none stop bombardment of sophisticated public mind controlling techniques, in the form of repetitive commercial product advertisements. The population soon becomes awash in mind soothing incredibly immature in content "block buster" motion pictures, accompanied by aggressively violent completely senseless highly addictive video games, which an entire generation falls pray too. A cult of shallow commercially made celebrity soon evolves and inspires much of the population into child like distraction from genuine reality, while the soulless none responsible corporate entities manipulate everything, including much of the politics behind the public artifice.

The elected leaders of this organic life form, impart to the burgeoning population repeatedly on behalf of these corporations "be happy, please go to the mall and buy something, it will cheer you up." This is to maintain the artificial human economy, by keeping it alive and flourishing. However hidden behind the mall's expensive but hollow facade is a threatening and malevolent secret. Stealing the raw materials needed to drive the entire system, is accomplished through a collective mob like violent and destructive mentality. As the ever expanding industrialized collective brute force willfully destroys "God", their true birthing Mother, the planet. They do this by robbing and stripping it of the raw material wealth required to promote and grow industry, what is in truth, an illegitimate reckless planetary destructive way of living life.

They pollute suffocate and overwhelm the planet's natural biosphere filtering system with incredible carbon off gassing, as they mold and shape the mined or clear cut stolen planetary material wealth, and turn it into commercially profitable items. This raped brutalized and robbed birthing Mother, in reality is the very "God" of cosmic life which they so desperately hungered to know. It is a highly fragile delicately balanced life providing endlessly sustaining planetary "Godsphere", which through a cosmic miracle has evolved all the presently known life in the entire universe.

In the end everything is eventually trashed and ruined on the tiny Mother "God" Planet, it falters and becomes almost dormant of organic life. It's delicate organic system was not able to cope with the sudden and rapid increase in planetary surface temperature, which these ignorant creatures had forced upon it. The mindless civilizations which the planet had birthed and nurtured for eons, turned out to be completely blind and totally ignorant of the intricate web like reality, of the organic temporal impulse which bore and brought them to life. The "children" of this chance cosmic creation, in the end, like unaware children would, aggressively force an unenlightened destructive devouring wake to wash over everything, ruining the primary fabric of pure natural existence. In truth, they murder God.

These once embolden highly destructive organic creatures, were for the most part devouring unthinking monsters at heart, as they grossly overpopulated and incompetently ruled and wrecked their little planet, they were known as Human Beings. This mural creation is a fractured dream like seminal likeness of their inner most being. Clubs always in hand, ready to kill mime and mutilate everything in their paths, in the end they were inspired to kill the true God by their own insane beliefs and corrupted practices.

Imaginary gods in which they had placed all of their misplaced trust. Their industrial might driven by ecologically destructive insensitive profiteering "criminal minds" who's only thought was of greedily amassing personal wealth. Their always in progress destructive wars that were driven by leaders who were psychopathic ego maniacs. Who always sold every act of war in the name of doing human good, which their yet to evolve still child like populations, actually believed in and therefore willingly supported.

In the end scribbled on the walls of organic infamy as their final "Epitaph", are scenes of the mob raping and collateral murdering of their true planetary Mother, their genuine living God. This all occurred even while they continued to pray to their imaginary gods that had sprung out of immature imaginations, formed into reality by the ignorant notions surfacing from intellectual insanity. They collectively repeatedly ask for forgiveness salvation and redemption. Sadly in the end they were left all alone with a dead murdered "God", their ecologically destroyed planet. The few scattered survivors battling up hill against horrendous climate upheavals barely surviving in a mortally wounded dying planetary Godsphere.

Still if one can believe this macabre aspect, gathering together to pray to the outdated invisible gods of their mistaken religions for ultimate forgiveness and salvation. Beliefs that were originally coalesced in the beginning of their civilization by intellectually misguided planetary and cosmically ignorant entities. Who were only trying but sadly failing to graph and fully explain their lives, on a completely misunderstood cosmically manifested, synergistic and symbiotically driven reality, which was in truth a living and fully alive cosmic God.

The mural is comprised of 672 scanned Kodachrome 25 ISO slides. This collection of imagery was originally photographed in Calcutta, (Kolkata) India, during their yearly 1994 Kali Puja (festival).

This mural has been wholly created by image placement using 3x4.5 inch half scale proof prints carefully taped, in a trial mock up version, image by image onto my studio wall. Free form hue and colour has been generously used in it's final creation.

The mural consists of twelve separate panels, each is 42x72 inches or 107x183 cm in scale. Every panel contains 56 - 6x9 inch or 15x23cm digitized images. The size of the finished mural as seen here with myself in the image to show scale is, 14 x 18 ft or 4.2 x 5.4 meters.
