Mural No. 630

Pigmented inks, printed on fine quality art paper

Photographed using a 35mm digital camera in Southern Ontario, Canada

This mural contains 64 images taken during an ice storm. None of these images have been computer manipulated, they are wholly intact and as taken, nothing has been cropped, twisted, or distorted by a computer. Image creation occurs in how the individual photos have been hand assembled in a mock up mural creation step; the computer is then used to assemble the chosen images into their respective twelve panels and then blend the multi-photos together, by "erasing" the numerous image edge seams.

This mural depicts that which can not be easily photographed or even seen, but which is always already there. Recontextualized, these landscape elements become an ephemeral continuum of signs referencing the past and future, material and metaphysical, finite and infinite.
