Mural number is 708; Medium: pigmented inks, printed on heavy fine art paper.

Methodology: This mural contains only two black and white images. Both were photographed at separate locations in India during 1989. There are sixteen panels in total, each is 40"x60". The mural is 13.3 x 20 feet or 4 x 6 meters.

This mural is comprised of two different layers. The base image is a photograph of a painted canvas surface, it is wholly intact and virtually as taken, nothing has been cropped, twisted, or distorted. However, the single image has been repeated sixteen times and creatively assembled by hand to form an interesting pattern. The underlying face image, a small carved stone shrine, an homage to parents, is also intact and simply blended in with the main base image. The mural image is created during a hand assembled panel mock up stage. The computer is then used to allocate the images into their respective panels and carefully blend the various components together.

Unfortunately the beautiful textures and interesting weave in the canvas are lost in this reduced online Jpg.
