Mural
number is 737; Medium: pigmented inks, printed on heavy fine art paper. Methodology:
This mural contains only two images. The base image was photographed
using 8"x10" transparency film during 1979. The "face"
image was also photographed on transparency film using an 8"x10"
camera. The mural has been divided into sixteen panels in total, each
is 40"x60". The mural is 13.3 x 20 feet or 4 x 6 meters. This
mural is comprised of two different layers. The base is a landscape
detail that was photographed in a wild river flood plain area nearby
my studio, it is wholly intact and virtually as taken. However, the
single 8"x10" film image has been carefully sectioned during
the scanning process into sixteen 40x60 inch panels. The underlying
central "face" image was taken of a painted mud and straw
statue in India during 1985. The computer has been used to allocate
the images into their respective panels and carefully blend the various
components together. The
beautiful detail quality in this work from using 8"x10" transparencies
suffers from Jpg reduction in online use. |
