Mural number is 696

These "Cosmic Wail" murals consist of a number of 40"x60" segments. Each of the segments making up these murals were carefully scanned from sections of original large format transparencies. The murals are printed out section by section employing pigmented inks that have been applied through the use of a large format digital printer onto good quality water colour paper.

The face image was taken using 8"x10" transparency film in Calcutta (Kolkata) in 1993 during their Kali Puja (festival). It is the face of one of Kali's many Yoginies ( from her legion of helpers). The landscape image, is an image of drying cracked mud and it was taken in Canada during the mid part of the 1990s. The images were combined in layers and have been blended together using the layers blending options.

Although these murals originate from scanned large format transparencies, low resolution JPG reduction used to display on the web has an obvious effect on the overall on screen quality.
