Mural
number is 698 This
little cherub figure, as I like to think of it, was actually photographed
in sections using nine 8"x10" overlapping transparencies
no less, employing an 8"x10" Deardorff sheet film camera.
I found her praying at the entrance way to a cave that was also hiding
large carved solid stone statues, which have been sitting there for
many centuries in total darkness, in the inner recesses of a painstakingly
carved out solid stone cave. This
particular image is made up of only two of the nine 8"x10"
transparencies that I took of her, and have been combined together
and sectioned up to make this mural. I left out some of the other
sections which actually do show her kneeling down as she prays. She
has been praying there for countless centuries, and most probably
still will be, many centuries after our civilization is long gone
from human induced biosphere destruction. |
