The face image was taken using 8"x10" transparency film in Calcutta (Kolkata) during the 1993 Kail Puja (festival). It's the face of one of Kali's many Yoginies (helpers and Goddesses in their own right).

The landscape image was taken in Canada, not far from my studio in the later part of the 1990s. It is just cracked drying mud on the edge of a pond, taken in the fall of the year. The images were combined in layers and have been blended together using layers blending options.
